My Life as a Father, Brother, and Santa Barbara Native
My Life as a Father, Brother, and Santa Barbara Native
Santa Barbara, California, isn’t just the place I live—it’s where I’ve built my life, raised my children, and grown into the man I’m proud to be. It’s here, surrounded by ocean views, timeless Spanish architecture, and a tight-knit community, that I’ve experienced my most important and rewarding role: father.
No business venture, title, or success will ever mean more to me than the bond I share with my children. I’ve built companies and led teams, but my greatest legacy is my family.
Alyssa Marie: A Daughter’s Determination
My oldest, Alyssa Marie, is 27 now. Watching her walk across the graduation stage at Long Beach University was one of my proudest moments. She poured herself into her education, never cutting corners, always pushing herself to go further. She’s intelligent, thoughtful, and driven—the kind of woman who makes things happen and lifts others while doing it.
She inspires me in ways she doesn’t even realize. Her independence, compassion, and discipline reflect the values I tried to model, and it’s clear she’s carrying those forward in her own unique way.
Larry IV: Walking in Leadership
My son, Larry IV, is 25, and every day I watch him grow into a strong, capable leader. He holds a supervisory role at one of Santa Barbara’s premier hotels, and the pride I feel when I see how his team respects him can’t be put into words.
He carries himself with a calm confidence and a sense of duty that reminds me so much of my younger self—but with his own style and strength. He’s hands-on, humble, and always working to improve. In a tough industry like hospitality, he’s already earned a reputation for integrity and professionalism.
He doesn’t just hold a title—he leads people, and he does it with empathy and pride.
Aliyah: The Heart of the Home
Then there’s my youngest, Aliyah, just 14, getting ready to graduate junior high. She’s the spark of the house—full of energy, humor, and heart. She’s sharp, socially conscious, and wildly creative. Every conversation with her makes me hopeful for what’s ahead—not just for her, but for the world she’ll help shape.
Aliyah keeps me grounded. In between school projects, dance rehearsals, and late-night talks about life, she reminds me that parenting isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about being present, listening, and showing up again and again.
Family Is My Anchor
I’ve worn many hats—entrepreneur, executive, advisor—but family is where I find my identity. My kids are my purpose, my pride, and my daily reminder of what really matters. Our bond isn’t just built on shared meals and vacations—it’s forged through support, trust, and shared goals.
I didn’t raise them alone, either. My brother, Vincent, has always been by my side. Through every high and low, he’s been there. Our connection as brothers runs deep—it’s a friendship, a business alliance, and a shared commitment to something greater than ourselves.
The Circle That Holds Us Together
In Santa Barbara, friendships aren’t just social—they’re essential. Over the years, I’ve built a circle of close friends who are more like extended family. We support each other, push each other to be better fathers, leaders, and men. These are the people I can call on in the middle of the night or celebrate a life win with over tacos at a local spot.
They’ve seen my journey—up close and unfiltered—and have helped shape the man I am today.
Balancing Business and Family With Intention
Professionally, I lead multiple companies in the consumer legal services space. My goal isn’t just to grow these businesses—it’s to revolutionize how working-class Americans access justice. We use AI, automation, and smart design to make legal help more affordable and accessible. But I’ve always believed success at work means nothing if your kids don’t know who you are at home.
That’s why I structure my life with intention. I build, I scale, I lead—but I also cook dinner, cheer from the sidelines, and take the long drives just to hear my kids talk. Because being a father isn’t something I do after hours—it’s who I am, always.
Santa Barbara: More Than a City
There’s no better place to raise a family than Santa Barbara. Every day here is a reminder of what we’re working for—walks on the beach, impromptu hikes in the foothills, farmer’s markets on Saturdays, and quiet nights at home. This city is where my children were raised, where my businesses were born, and where my values were tested and strengthened.
It’s a place of peace, reflection, and ambition—a rare combination that’s allowed me to dream big while staying deeply rooted in what really matters.
Raising Leaders, Not Just Kids
As a father, I don’t just want to raise good people—I want to raise leaders, changemakers, and contributors. I believe in leading by example. That means showing my children what resilience looks like, how to act with integrity, and how to speak truth with grace.
I’ve tried to teach them that leadership isn’t about power—it’s about responsibility. It’s about lifting others, keeping your word, and building a life with purpose. Whether they go into business, education, the arts, or something entirely different, I want them to always remember: their character is their currency.
A Legacy in Progress
I think about legacy a lot—not in the sense of buildings or bank accounts, but in the lives we touch and the values we pass on. My children are my legacy. The businesses I’ve built serve a greater purpose, but the people I’ve raised? They’ll carry our family’s spirit into the next generation.
So much of what I do—every call, every strategy meeting, every new venture—is rooted in one simple truth: I’m doing this for them. For their future. For our name. For the impact we can make together.
I may have started as a solo dreamer, but today, I’m part of something far bigger—a family that’s growing, thriving, and poised to leave the world a little better than we found it.
